Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of travel arrangements, cultural experiences, concierge services, and other services (the "Services") provided under the "MA JAPAN" brand operated by Voyage Japan LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Services, you ("Guest" or "you") agree to these Terms.

We provide bespoke travel arrangements, curation of cultural experiences and visits, booking of accommodation / dining / transportation, and on-trip concierge support. Specific content, fees, and dates are finalized by mutual agreement based on individualized proposals or estimates.

A contract is formed when the Guest confirms a proposal prepared by us and pays the contract fee in the manner we designate. Detailed terms follow the applicable proposal and our travel agency agreement.

Payment methods and timing are notified via individual proposals. Typically a deposit is paid upon contracting, with the balance due before departure. International wire fees and FX differences are borne by the Guest.

Given the bespoke, exclusive-use nature of our experiences, cancellation policies are set in individual proposals. Typically, cancellation rates increase as the departure date approaches. Details are confirmed at the proposal stage.

Due to weather, natural disasters, transportation delays, local operator circumstances, regulatory changes, or other matters beyond our control, we may be compelled to modify service content. In such cases, we will propose equal or superior alternatives to the greatest extent possible.

Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we shall not be liable for loss or theft of personal belongings, accident or illness during travel, force majeure events, or similar impacts. We strongly recommend obtaining international travel insurance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over our head office as the court of first instance.

We may amend these Terms as needed. Amendments take effect upon publication on this page, and you should check the current version from time to time.
